[Hongdae] The Beastro

The Beastro is an American style bistro located in Hongdae.

It's located right next to Hongik children's park and is a popular destination among younger crowd.

Oddly enough, everyone who's working at The Beastro are non-Koreans and do speak both English and Korean. So ordering in English is not an issue.

They also do have English menu instead of Korean menu pictured here.

The Beastro uses 2nd~4th floor of the building.
2nd floor is a reception/cashier area, and when you go up to the 3rd floor, you'll see this bar...

And this really nice seating area.

Lemonade one of my friend ordered.
Pretty ordinary lemonade.

 Ginger pineapple fresca.
Ginger beer adds nice kick.
And even though it's called ginger pineapple fresca, I don't think they add actual fresca in this (anyone remember those?)

 Buffalo mac'n cheese.
Over roasted mac'n cheese with bread crumbs and buffalo chicken on top.
It's salty, greasy, and tasty.

Nice and cheesy too.

 Hanger rucola sandwich.
Slices of medium rare hanger steak with rucola and other veggies.

 Biscuit and gravy.
Biscuit, sausage gravy, thick cut bacon, home fries, and scrambled eggs.
Gravy was bit salty but I really liked the sausage aroma.

 Fig and goat cheese sandwich.
Personally, I thought this sandwich could use more cheese.

 Roasted pork sandwich.
Pork was nice and juicy, and the crispy pork skins added nice texture to the sandwich.

But the real star was these buns.
They are rye buns baked in house and they were really flavorful but didn't overpower other ingredients of the sandwich.

Another shot of hanger rucola sandwich.

 Cinnamon bun,
Comes with thick cut bacon and two sunny side up eggs.

Anyone watch Howl's Moving Castle?

Probably one of the most memorable scene from the movie is this breakfast scene.

 Can't beat bacon and eggs.

 Love the thick cut bacon.

Devoured.
